What duties do people in this career have?The duties for the nurse anesthetist begins as soon as a patient us scheduled to under go a medical procedure that is requiring anesthesia. And to be prepared when the doctor it is ready to start the surgery. The nurse is responsible for communicating the patient when he need information about the anesthetist, an to answer any questions they have.

What skills do they have:How to administers the anesthetic, how to keep the patient comfortable and safe, know about the anesthetist so the nurse can answer the question if any of the patient have.

What education and training do you need to enter this career?You must first train as a registered nurse. That involves completing Bachelor of science degree in nursing. Second you need to work at least 1 year in a acute care nursing setting. When you finally have fulfilled this experience you will eligible to apply to a nurse anesthesia. Before that you need to apply to a nurse anesthesia program at least more than 1 year. Nurse anesthesia program takes about 2 to 3 years to complete. After completing the program you need to write a certification exam. If you pass the exam you become a nurse anesthesia

What other qualifications are good to have?Nurse anesthetists must be able to work as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential in order to provide information to physicians and other health care workers. Interpersonal skills are also needed to put patients at ease. In addition, nurse anesthetists must be able to remain calm and make quick decisions during emergency situations.

Most applicants complete an undergraduate program in nursing, practice in their field for a few years, and then apply to a nurse anesthesia graduate degree program.

Do you think this is a tough career to get into? What is the most difficult part? I think yes because i like helping others... The most difficult part in this career is that i mite be a little bit scare because I couldn't think what I doing but I think it will be a fun career for me and for other people...

Would you be willing to complete the education and training necessary to work in this career? Why or why not? Yes because I like medicine and helping a lot of people so they can get well if they are sick or going to s surgery that they need to put some anesthesia into there spinal cord.
